Compliance and KYC

Monthly HYFY claims require identity verification through HYFY's built-in self-sovereign digital identity wallet, powered by the iden3 protocol and Privado ID infrastructure. The platform uses zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs) to verify user credentials without exposing sensitive personal information.

Zero-Knowledge Identity: Privacy by Design

HYFY's identity system is built on cryptographic technology that fundamentally changes how personal data is handled during verification.

Selective Disclosure

Users prove specific attributes such as age, citizenship, or uniqueness without revealing the underlying personal data. You can prove you are over 18 without disclosing your exact birthdate, name, or address.

Self-Sovereign Control

Identity credentials are stored locally in your wallet, not on centralized servers. You control what information is shared, when it is shared, and with whom. No third party can access your identity data without your explicit consent.

Minimal Data Exposure

Traditional identity systems require full document submission and personal details, creating privacy risks and data breach vulnerabilities. Zero-knowledge proofs enable verification with minimal disclosure, sharing only the necessary proof while all sensitive data remains encrypted and private.

Decentralized Verification

Claims and credentials are managed off-chain and validated on-chain without requiring a central authority. Verification does not depend on any single intermediary.

Reusable, Non-Transferable Credentials

Once verified, your identity credentials can be reused across the HYFY ecosystem for claims, governance, and event access without re-verifying each time. Credentials remain cryptographically bound to you and cannot be transferred.

What This Enables

  • Regulatory compliance without sacrificing user privacy
  • Anti-bot and anti-fraud protection through proof of unique personhood
  • Ensuring claims are distributed to real humans who genuinely engage with the platform
  • Protecting users from surveillance, tracking, and data exploitation

Initial verification may be facilitated through Didit.me or similar providers, but all identity credentials are ultimately controlled by the user through their self-sovereign wallet.

Token Classification

HYFY is designed as a utility token for use within and around the HYFY ecosystem. While the tokenomics model allocates a portion of platform revenue to support the token ecosystem through user claims, liquidity, burns, and treasury growth, HYFY does not represent equity ownership, corporate governance rights, or direct profit-sharing arrangements typically associated with securities or financial instruments.
